Question:
Why did you make her your second in command-
why not one of your angels or one of your holy
children in Heaven?
God’s answer:
because She is My mother.
The Catholic teaching on this subject states that:
“Mary is called Queen of Heaven because her son, Jesus Christ, is the king
of Israel and heavenly king of the universe; indeed, the Davidic tradition of
Israel recognized the mother of the king as the Queen Mother of Israel.5 “
It would seem that God’s answer confirms this reasoning.
However, this is not what God meant. Jesus is the son of God,
the King. His mother therefore is the Queen.
Mother Mary did not become Queen because she is the mother of Jesus;
she was Queen before Jesus was born.
God’s statement that Mother Mary is second in command means that her
being Queen is not just an honorary title.
A second in command is someone who is next in rank to the person in charge,
who in this case is God.
And since she is God’s Queen, she in not only Queen of Heaven but the Queen
of the Universe as well. As God said, She shares in His throne.
